Asian Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 1/2 large onion, diced
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and diced
- 1/4 c hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- green onions, sliced for garnish
- lettuce of choice
- sriracha, optional garnish
Instructions
- Brown the ground meat in a large skillet over med-high heat.
- When no longer pink, add aromatics (onion, garlic, ginger). Stir continuously.
- When aromatics are fragrant, add water chestnuts. Stir to combine. Keep the mixture moving so the ingredients do not burn over the med-high heat.
- Add sauce ingredients - hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar (can pre-mix in a separate bowl if desired). Coat the meat & veg mix in the sauce.
- Filling is ready when mixture is hot and evenly combined.
- Serve with fresh lettuce and garnishes.
